Tomáš Libertíny
Beeswax, glass, and metal
h. 58 cm

Libertíny is widely known for his beeswax sculptures. In his works, he extensively explores the beauty and intelligence nature offers. Recognizing the advanced methods of design, the artist uses 3D printing with a medical-grade polyamide to create the core structure, which is then built upon by a colony of bees. Here, the artist raises the question whether natural objects can be considered art. Such collaboration between man and nature reminds us of the harmony the two can coexist in, hence raising questions about the current relationship humans and their surroundings have nowadays.
