(2017)

Ink on wood

Being part of the Veneration series, this work examines the visual language used in religious contexts through the use of recognizable symbols. The sculpture is made up of rhythmical, repetitive patterns reminiscent of religious artifacts. The mysterious deep blue color captivates the viewer with its holy presentation. Here, the artist draws onto the similarities between symbols of different beliefs. ‘Guider for Veneration’ represents man’s attempt to capture the spiritual through the material, earthly. The sense of infinity and sanctity of the fragmental design evokes spiritual feelings of the audience.
