Tymon de Laat
Tymon F. de Laat is a mural artist famous for his large colorful mural portraits, especially in the city he currently lives in; Rotterdam. After growing up in Delft until he was 17, he moved to Rotterdam to study at the Willem de Kooning Academie. Slowly, he started to fill the city walls of Rotterdam with murals on his travel memories to Latin America and the depictions of people he met there. His works are highly influenced by Latin American art, therefore indigenous figures and icons are commonly used. The autonomous style of the artist is also recognizable from the exaggerated and colorful faces of the portraits.
