Tymon de Laat
Tymon de Laat is a Dutch mural artist born in 1979. At the age of 17, he moved from Delft to Rotterdam to study at the Willem de Kooning Academie. Upon graduating, De Laat left for Latin America for a year-long journey. Greatly influenced by Latin American art and culture, De Laat dedicated his murals and canvases to the memories and people he met. His defining technique is the exaggeration of natural lines and the application of vivid colors to the portraitures. This way, the artist pays tribute to the food, architecture, and culture of indigenous peoples that have gifted him a direction in life and art.
