Tycho van Zomeren
Tycho van Zomeren is a Dutch artist born in 1989. After studying at the Design Academy in Eindhoven and the Technic Univesity of Delft, van Zomeren studied Fine Art and Design at the Utrecht School of Fine Arts. His paintings mostly explore the boundaries of perception. These paintings, both realistic and abstract, primarily depict landscapes in a large format, in the backlight. As the viewer steps closer, the apparent photorealism reveals brushed spirals of paint, delicately transitioning across the soft color palette. His works have been exhibited widely across the Netherlands and abroad.
