Mimmo Paladino
Mimmo Paladino is an Italian printmaker, sculpture, and painter born in Paduli and raised in Benevento, Italy. He opened his first exhibition in 1969 and constantly gained international fame in the art scene throughout the 1980s. His works have been shown in several exhibitions around the world. Today, his works are present in multiple major museums including Tate London, Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York, and Australian National Gallery, Canberra. Mimmo Paladino is considered one of the major artists of the Transavanguardia artistic movement and a significant figure of Expressionism and known for his depiction of geometrical human forms.
