A modern and contemporary art collection.

Hester Scheurwater

Hester Scheurwater was born in Hendrik-Ido-Ambacht, The Netherlands, and studied Monumental Art at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in The Hague. In her artworks, she often investigates and criticizes the role of women as sex objects in her self-portrait works. Her works are well-known due to their powerful and controversial concept behind them. As her pieces are relevant to international feminist art, they were exhibited in many worldwide famous feminist art events, including in the Blanton Museum of Art (USA) and the Brooklyn Museum.
