Ellis Holman
Ellis Holman is a Dutch artist born in Waalwijk in 1997. During her studies
at the Willem de Kooning Academie, she has explored her long-lasting
fascination for natural elements through her kinetic artworks. Born in a
family of carpenters, she has grown connected to craftsmanship and
materials. Holman is deeply inspired by the landscapes surrounding her. In
her works, she shares a unique perception of nature through a lens of
neuroaesthetics (the experience of art on a neurological level), simplified to
rhythmic, geometric shapes. The emotion-driven subject of urban and
natural landscapes is illustrated in a kinetic manner, offering the viewer a
new perspective on the world surrounding us. Her powerful, yet elegant
work is rapidly gaining interest all across the Netherlands.
