Bust Chair is a design created for the interview series “Bust Chair Conversations”, where the artist, Tomáš Libertíny, conducts a series of interviews. 12 guests from the Dutch art world discuss the art field during and after the COVID-19. The monumental chair was made out of marble as an outdoor design. In addition, the ‘Bust Chair’ became a part of a public art project ‘New Acropolis’, in which 12 sculpted stone chairs are placed in a 7.5 meters circle with a distance of 1.5 meters in between as a symbol of the social distance during COVID-19. Each chair is made from a different type of stone: various marbles, granite, etc.
