‘Three Green Lines’ 3 is part of Thomas Trum’s series of the corresponding title. Product of laborious preparation, Three Green Lines involved unconventional, uniquely designed paint application techniques. Working in a limited framework of line and colour, his painting is rhythmic and dynamic. His fascination with agricultural machinery affects not only the technique, but also the subject matter. The pattern is reminiscent of tracks made by plough through the field. Abstract and monochromatic, the painting captures the physicality of the production process, the movement captured in colour.
