Being part of the Bluescapes series, this work reviews the concept of landscape paintings with an attempt to exhibit the experience of being overwhelmed by the grandeur of space and nature. Nature is a long-standing fascination of Libertíny, and is the central theme of his repertoire. Characteristic of the artist, ‘Bluescape October’ explores the boundaries of the material used. Here, the potential of a simple pen as an expressive and artistic tool is considered. Sophisticated in its simplicity, the unique blue hue is both meditative and melancholic. Bordering abstraction and figuration, this work offers its viewer a profound sense of peace and connection with nature.
