Marloes Roeper
Marloes Roeper is a Dutch artist born in 1998, currently living and working in Utrecht. As an artist, she is intrigued by what exactly people see when looking at paintings. She primarily depicts found objects and compositions from everyday life in an attempt to explore how one recognizes and attaches meaning to ordinary subjects illustrated on a canvas. Graduated from Hogeschool voor de Kunsten in Utrecht in 2021, she won the Lakeside Collection Award in the same year. Her works are widely exhibited in group and solo shows across the Netherlands.
